Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin has been an actress across Canada as well as New Zealand for over a decade. Paquin was born in Winnipeg and was raised by Wellington Paquin's acting debut was as Flora McGrath. For this role she received the Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress for the romantic drama The Piano at the young age of eleven. The actress is second-youngest winner in Oscar History. Paquin played Frankie Addams, a character from Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997, she played the queen of Spain in a smaller role. She portrayed teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000). In addition, she portrayed the teen groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on Almost Famous (2000).
