Lucy Liu, an American voice actress producer director and singer, is also an accomplished actor. Beautiful, intelligent and talented actor, she's an model for Asian actors who want to make it big in Hollywood. Following a string of appearances in popular TV series her name was a household name when she was cast in the Ally McBeal legal comedy where she played Ling Woo. After a sudden surge in popularity, the actress landed roles on big screens like Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. Then she gave a stunning performance in the role of Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. In the same time frame she was the main character in several flops at the box office like Rise: Blood Hunter. In later years, she worked as voice actor for animated films including Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's small-screen role as a character in Cashmere Mafia did not produce any results. The role she played in the critically acclaimed police drama Southland allowed her to regain her status as a prominent actress. Liu chooses her roles with care so that she doesn't become a typecast character in this competitive industry.
